The Year 9 cadets enjoyed their first 24-hour exercise last weekend on the West Buckland Plantation. They brushed up on some of their camp skills including basher building, marksmanship and cooking their ration packs!
After a night sleeping under the shelters that they had built, the next day was spent on basic field craft skills and ended with a ‘catch the flag’ exercise. The senior and junior NCOs were also able to practice their teaching skills course (CFIT).
All the Year 9 cadets worked really hard throughout the weekend making it a very successful 24 hours.
