Over half term, a group of Year 12 and 13s were lucky enough to go on the Geography trip to Iceland, a country described by Year 13 student, Claire Rhodes, as ‘one of the most amazing places on earth’.

Among the fascinating places that the group visited were the Bridge over Two Continents - where the Eurasian and North American plates meet at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge; mud pools and geothermal springs; stunning waterfalls and lava fields; glacial lakes, giant icebergs and, finally, the famous Blue Lagoon.
