We are delighted that Harry Baker, award winning poet, recent TED talker and occasional rapper, will be coming to West Buckland on Tuesday 7th March, to address the senior school in assembly, with his hilarious and intelligent poetry on subjects ranging from the science of bumblebees to a love poem for lonely prime numbers.
Harry has performed on both sides of the Atlantic and has just launched his first anthology entitled The Sunshine Kid. He has received rave reviews and audiences have been entranced by his use of the spoken word. He hopes to inspire a new generation of wordsmiths and poets.
After his address in assembly, he will have an audience with the Year 12 English class, and we invite any parents, who would like to attend, to come along from 9.30 to 10.45.
The school is in for a real treat and we very much look forward to welcoming him.
