Members of the Sixth Form have been extremely busy in recent days with fund raising initiatives as part of their efforts to raise valuable funds for their chosen charity for the year, Teenage Cancer Trust.
Firstly, there was the Vintage Clothes Sale on Thursday evening, followed by busking on the streets of South Molton on Saturday afternoon.
The buskers were an extremely hardy bunch, performing and singing in the busy market square on Saturday afternoon, despite some truly awful wind and rain. Their efforts were rewarded as they raised a very creditable £65. In addition, they were commended by many passers-by on the quality of their singing as well as their commitment in the adverse weather conditions!
The Sixth Form Charity Committee holds a number of fund raising events and initiatives throughout the year and contributes significant amounts of money to the charities that its members have chosen themselves.
