Social Psychology and, in particular, bystanders in violent situations, was the theme of this term's Aldiss Society lecture, given by Professor Mark Levine from Exeter University.

Members of the Sixth Form were joined by Psychology students from Petroc and Bideford for what was a fasctinating talk on human behaviour and the influence of group dynamics.

The Aldiss Society was formed to promote knowledge and discussion on topics covering a wide range of subjects and interests and is open to Sixth Form students.

The Society was named after the late author and poet Brian Aldiss, an old boy and former Vice President of West Buckland School, who sadly died last year.
