U13s Lead Way in Busy Weekend of Sport

wb u12b netball 27.1

Despite the weather threatening to spoil the party, a staggering 22 netball fixtures were held over the weekend, from U9s up to U18s, with some excellent results, most noteably from the U13s, whose A and B teams remained unbeaten in all four of their matches, against Exeter School and King's Hall.

In the Prep school, despite losses for the U9s and U10s, the U11A and Bs managed convincing wins against King's Hall.

Further up the school, the U12s and U13s played in a triangular tournament with Exeter School and King's Hall.  Whilst the U12s had a mixed day, with some good wins and narrow losses, the U13s were the team of the day, winning all their matches.

The U14Bs and U15Bs both had good wins against Exeter, but sadly the U15A match had to be cancelled due to a flu epidemic at Exeter!

The Senior squads had very close matches, the Cs winning convincingly, whilst the As were agonisingly beaten 22-23, being denied a last goal attempt as the whistle blew!

A fantastic day of sport for the girls and well done to all the staff involved for managing to keep the fixtures alive despite the rain.

All the results from the weekend, including some great wins for our hockey boys against Shebbear, can be found on My School Portal.
