Year 8, Tom M spent some time over the half term break visiting the Houses of Parliament and met local MP, Peter Heaton-Jones. Tom's keen interest in Politics stemmed some fascinating discussions ranging from Brexit to current party politics and their similarities to Animal Farm - the book currently being studied by Tom.
Mr Heaton-Jones was impressed with Tom's comments and his analogy of social media as propaganda, which could be used in one of his future speeches - watch this space.
Our Boarding community came together last week for one big Halloween night starting in the Art department with some creative and creepy face painting. There was dinner followed by apple bobbing and games in the Karslake and the evening finished off with a disco or a film in the Memorial Hall - both options proved popular with our boarders.
Crowds amassed at the school on Friday evening - staff, students, friends and members of the local community - to see Brightburst Fireworks put on a fantastic display. Bray Valley Wines and John May Butchers provided our spectators with food and drink and there was entertainment and stalls for all to enjoy. Thank you to the Parents' Association for orgnanising such a perfect evening.
More photos of the event are available on our Facebook page.
