The pupils and staff are all back at school after a busy half term which saw a number of exciting and cultural trips, including a fantastic visit to Rome for some lucky students in the Senior School.
Under cloudless skies, the tour group enjoyed a walking tour of the city, taking in such iconic sites as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. This was followed, the next day, with a visit to the Vatican Museum and St Peter's Basilica and the Colosseum.
The trip was rounded off with a drive up into the hills surrounding Rome, to the beautiful hilltop town of Assisi, where St Francis lived. The group visited the hermitage where he stayed and found out about his and St Clare's lives as well as seeing some fascinating relics, such as his hair shirt!
Overall, this was a fantastic and fascinating visit and many thanks must go Mrs Plummer, Mr Watkinson-Trim and Mr McKerrow for organising and running the trip.
