Kian Selected for Canada Cadet Course

Year 12 Kian Hayles-Cotton has been selected for the RCAC Leadership and Challenge Course in the Rocky Mountains this summer. This is a fantastic achievement which will see Kian spend six weeks in Canada in July and August.

Kian, who is a Cadet Corporal in the West Buckland CCF, attended a selection weekend at Cwrt-y-Gollen training camp, Crickhowell and was chosen from a very strong field of more than 80 of the Army’s top cadets from across the country.  He was selected for the once-in-a-lifetime trip after showing ‘commitment and physical achievement’.

The Canada Exchange will involve the cadets being based at the Rocky Mountain Cadet Training Centre for six weeks, during which they will be taking part in some exciting exercises in the mountains and also being guests to the Canadian Cadets.
