The school hosted the Carnegie Book Award Shadowing Event in the 150 theatre yesterday, where local schools came with teams of pupils to make presentations on chosen books as part of the scheme. We were delighted to welcome Mitch Johnson, the visiting author this year who gave a talk on his writing experiences and his newly published book, 'Kick'.

West Buckland students were the first group to present their thoughts, covering the book 'Rook' by Anthony McGowan. Great presentations were given by all the schools attending but it was Pilton School who won reflecting on 'After the Fire' by Will Hill.
