Marketing & PR Assistant

Applications are invited for the position of Marketing and PR Assistant. This post is available with an immediate start subject to selection process and safeguarding clearances.

The Marketing and PR Assistant is a key member of the school’s Marketing team and at the heart of the school’s strategic marketing and admissions operations across the Prep, Senior School and Sixth Form. The post holder will be line managed by the Marketing Manager and work across all areas of marketing, digital marketing, PR and events.

We seek to appoint an exceptional individual who is experienced, creative and energetic and who can provide an efficient delivery of services to build on West Buckland’s current success. Whilst a sound understanding of marketing principles and best practice are a requirement, excellent written and verbal communication skills, together with a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, and on his/her own initiative, are essential.

An empathetic and knowledgeable consideration of the different target audiences and the dynamics of the independent school market place are very important as well as an understanding of the principles of the West Buckland environment. He/she will be very much hands-on, and will have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups of people, including staff, parents, pupils, prospective parents and feeder schools, and to get the best out of them.
