West Buckland organises a pick-up and drop-off service from London Heathrow Terminal 5 at the start and end of every term and half term. Students joining us in Year 12 each September will be invited to arrive a day earlier than other students to ensure they are able to attend our Sixth Form Induction which is always held the day before school resumes and is very important to help them settle in.
Whenever possible, we will arrange transport to meet students on their arrival and return at the start and end of term, as well as at half term. There may be a charge for this service, depending on numbers, so arrangements must be made in advance by contacting the admissions office.
When booking flights, we would ask parents to check with their airline on restrictions for Unaccompanied Minors. Special arrangements will be needed to ensure that the students are able to travel unaccompanied. If your child is travelling as an ‘Unaccompanied Minor’ you must make arrangements for the guardian to accompany your child to the school bus at the airport.
