Toddler Group

We hold a Toddler Group in the Nursery once a week on a Wednesday morning from 9:15am - 10:30am – free of charge.

The session consists of a variety of activities including painting, sticking and puzzles. There is a snack time for the toddlers, with coffee/tea and biscuits for the Mums, Dads, Grannies or whoever brings the toddler. There will be a story or music time or nursery rhymes at the end of each session.

Come and visit and see what we have to offer. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat with other parents or carers while the toddlers make a mess!

If you are interested in booking a place or would like more details on the session, please contact:

Nursery Day

day 01

day 02

Children entering the Nursery are in a safe, secure and friendly atmosphere. The Nursery comprises a bright, cheerful classroom full of activities and equipment to inspire and excite the children. Our Nursery includes:

  • a warm, inviting book room
  • a playroom devoted to the topic of the moment
  • a large creative room specifically for sand, water and painting
  • access to a garden with a play house, sandpit and outdoor play equipment
  • an outside, covered area shared with the Reception class.
  • extensive, beautiful grounds for outdoor play, education and enjoyment of nature. Janet Regan, the Nursery Manager, is qualified to teach forest school education.

In addition, the Nursery has the unique benefit of being able to use the excellent facilities of the Preparatory and Senior School which enables our children to enjoy:

  • the library – for story-telling and reading
  • the music room – with regular music and singing sessions with our Prep School Director of Music
  • a fully equipped IT room where the children use individual computers
  • Senior School swimming pool – for weekly swimming lessons

Healthy Eating

We aim to ensure that children have a wide and nutritionally balanced diet to develop health, growth and wellbeing. The school provides a varied diet which allows children choice but ensures that they eat a balance of fresh fruit and vegetables, carbohydrates, dairy products and proteins. The meals are cooked onsite by a team of experienced chefs.

Meal times, as well as being a time for eating, are social occasions which allow relaxed interaction between children and between staff and children.

Dental health is an important issue. Children are given milk or water to drink. Their twice daily snacks are comprised of fresh fruit and vegetables.
